Don't Count Those Chickens

One day, when I was in 8th grade orchestra class, a friend named Brad Simpson wrote the following and passed it over to me. He quoted the following and I have never forgotten. He wrote, "It is inadvisable to calculate the quantity of your poultry before the completion of the incubation process." Well, I didn't know what it meant at the time and didn't even know what some of the words were, so he translated it for me, "Don't count your chickens before they hatch."
